Airsoft Wars gave us a heads up that their official after action video of Operation Lizzard 5 is now up... "The5th episode of Lizzard operation didn't deviate away from the previous episodes of event series. It was still full of extensive combat operations of squads and platoons, both infantry and mechanized, Taliban armed resistance operations and Zabul´s control struggle.

The International forces high command has the strategic plan for the year of 2014. It consisted of two large operations widely supported by the international community.  These are the reconstruction works aimed Protector XI in summer and combat and security ensuring operation Lizzard V in spring.

For the purpose of the Lizzard V operation is the ISAF mission to build up fortified base, to secure a given operational area and to search and destroy any rebel resistance and their hideouts. The very important mission for the ISAF units is breaking armed resistance, establishing peace and order and preparing the foothold for summer´s peacekeeping and reconstruction operation.

Rebel armed forces are to interrupt these efforts and to crush any operation the occupants will carry out --- at all costs. Every insurgent has to wage war with the ISAF presence in Zabul using every way of combat to ambush armed convoys, foot patrols and last but not least to overrun and destroy the ISAF base.

Mission range was quite extensive - recon ops, assault ops, ambush ops, guard ops and others. Meaning of these all above and the operation itself is not a brainless shootout but contrary - to faithfully reeneact real combat ISAF operations and firefights with well organized, motivated and equipped armed insurgency."
