OB writes on HTIS Media about the Ares Airsoft VZ58 AEGs which will be available in two versions and soon to be in stock at RedWolf Airsoft UK... "For those of you who were at IWA not too long ago you may have noticed two AK look-a-likes on display in the Redwolf booth. However, upon closer inspection these are actually the VZ58 by Ares. The VZ58 may look very much like an AK at first glance, however the real steel version actually share no parts with the Soviet AK-47. The VZ58 is an assault rifle designed and manufactured in the then Czechoslovakia during the 1950’s and was to chamber the 7.62x39mm.

The airsoft replicas from Ares come in two variants, the full length VZ58-L, and the shorter carbine VZ58-S. The external of these replicas are full metal apart from the pistol grip and the hand guard which are constructed out of nylon fiber, both of the variants also feature a very low profile folding stock."
