Gun Gamers On IP Protection In Airsoft

OptimusPrime

Gun Gamers join in the debate on Intellectual Property (IP) in airsoft, in matters of trademark and trade dress as brought about by A&K's KRISS Vector AEG replica that may not be licensed from KRYTAC... "Today, E House talks about the developing case of the A&K 'Vector' AEG and the tools Krytac/Kriss Group can use legally, and with their distributors, to protect their intellectual property rights, and how and where those intellectual property rights apply. Hopefully you guys find this interesting, and being that I'm not a lawyer, if you are a lawyer or work with trademarks and patents, be sure to leave a comment below!

CORRECTIONS & UPDATES: A friend of mine in the industry contacted me after this video went up with a couple things they wanted to point out. First, Krytac has a branch in Taiwan, thus there's no way the A&K will be sold or distributed in Taiwan. Second, there is such a thing as global patents, trade dress, and trademarks, but it's unclear if that will stop the A&K from being made since Mainland China is traditionally such an intellectual property no man's land."
