This system incorporates PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) webbing; rows of heavy-duty nylon stitched onto a vest or other load bearing equipment. This webbing allows for the attachment of various MOLLE-compatible pouches and accessories by threading straps attached to the modular pouches through the webbing.

MOLLE gives the user the advantage of customizing his equipment for the mission at hand in a configuration that is comfortable and/or functional. Instead of having numerous load bearing vests you can have a single vest that can be customized by adding and removing pouches.
