Last Thursday, 26 February 2015, Russian President signed a decree declaring 27 February as the "Special Operations Forces Day", or also known as the "Polite People's Day" according to the Red Army Airsoft Club in their recent news post. The Special Operations Forces was formed in March 2013 to operate inside Russia and abroad.
If you're wondering why 27 February was chosen, try to remember the appearance of the "Polite People" as the Russians called the troops sent to the Crimean Peninsula a year ago. But to the international media they were called the "little green men."
