E&L Airsoft AK-74 Gearbox Parts Review

"'In Russia AK finds you” Well you better find your wallet and buy this E&L since it is amazing on so many levels and this review of the parts will show you why. The E&L Airsoft AK series are in the $300 range and beat the once worshiped LCT rifles like a rented mule. Lets get started!

Which AK is better the LCT or E&L?

"The age old question of is that rifle worth my hard earned money and going to be the best. For many years the LCT Airsoft AK’s have been known for their most realistic design and solid construction but things have changed in the world and a new company called E&L Airsoft is about to take the top spot.

The two rifles that we will compare will be the E&L AK A107 AK74MN versus the LCT AK74 MN NV since they are very close in looks and might help if you are stuck on which one to get. We got both of these rifles from Airsplat from their walk in store in Irwindale. Take note of the items both rifles come with.

The LCT AK74 MN will come with the nice glossy manual and catalog and the hicap magazine. The catalog has an email for info if needed. The E&L A107 AK74MN will come with much more. You will find in the box a steel flash hider, oli kit, small blade fuse as an extra, midcap magazine and the manual with warranty card and QC check sheet from the factory and a second time from JAG Precision which handles all the warranty work that is location in California. Neither come with a battery or charger. These rifles are for  experienced players and you will already have those or can buy at the store."

Installation of the Tactical Weapons Industries parts on an E&L AK

"I had a chance to evaluate some parts from a new company called Tactical Weapons Industries (TWI) out of Taiwan. A relatively new company, TWI is making some replicas of more elusive items out there in airsoft, particularly for Russian guns. Although I wish I could review their entire lineup, some of the items they make are not kosher in the United States due to licensing reasons so they could not be legally imported.

The replica parts I am reviewing today are the Z/RC-0 vertical grip, Z/B-19 and Z/B-10 rail system, Z/B-09 cantilever rail piece. These replicate Zenitco parts which is sort of the Russian equivalent of Magpul when it comes to accessories for the AK platform. You can see these types of parts used on weapons carried by upper echelon Russian Forces. At the moment the only other available parts are from Asura Dynamics, but they focus on other Zenit parts that TWI does not overlap. Supposedly Zenitco in Russia announced an airsoft/PTS product lineup in the future but there has been no news to date beyond that."
