Tracy and Lanny Barnes, the Olympians popularly known as the Twin Biathletes, have been appointed as RedWolf Airsoft's Brand Ambassadors. Avid outdoors women they learned how to shoot from their father and got involved in biathlon (shooting whilst skiing) when they met a man who belonged to the US Biathlon Team. Press Release Below:

RedWolf Airsoft Announces Olympic Biathletes as New Brand Ambassadors

RedWolf Airsoft is very proud to announce it has signed two new Brand Ambassadors, Tracy and Lanny Barnes into their tribe on September 1, 2015. Olympians in the sport of Biathlon, Tracy and Lanny competed together in Torino, Italy at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Lanny also competed in Vancouver Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympics while her twin sister, Tracy, was the alternate. Lanny posted the best US finish in 16 years for the US women at those Olympic Games. Both girls made history and inspired the world when Tracy selflessly gave Lanny her spot on the Sochi, Russia 2014 Olympic team after Lanny fell ill during the final trials and was not able to complete all the races. Tracy was given the United Nations UNESCO International Fair Play award and the US Olympic Committee Inspiration Award for her selfless act and for demonstrating true Olympic Spirit. Tracy was also crowned best Biathlon shooter in the World at the famous Biathlon World Team Challenge in the Schalke Soccer Stadium in Germany in March 2011 after a competition in front of 52,000 spectators. Furthermore, both were the first women in the US to ever medal at the World Jr. Biathlon Championships.

The“Twin Biathletes”grew up shooting small bore competitions, as well as hunting and fishing in Colorado. They claim that biathlon has made them better hunters, and hunting has made them better biathletes. They are able to accurately shoot a rifle with a heart rate of 180 beats per minute, and effortlessly pursue elk above 10,000ft.

Tracy and Lanny have been competing in 3-gun competitions and regional Sportsman Team Challenge matches the past couple of years and are working on going pro. They have goals of not only becoming the top women 3-gun shooters in the nation, but also want to be competitive amongst the men as well. Tracy and Lanny also started a firearms training institute called T.O.P. Shooting Institute, otherwise known as “The Olympian Project,” where they will teach military, law enforcement, competitive shooters, and hunters how to shoot with an elevated heart rate and under stress. After developing the skills necessary to shoot while under extreme physical and mental stress for the past 15 years they want to share these unique skills and more with others. The twins spend a majority of their free time traveling around to schools, 4-H clubs, Boys & Girls Clubs, Boys & Girls Scouts, etc. talking to them about following their dreams, setting goals, and leading a healthy and active lifestyle.

Tracy - “I have been training with airsoft for years. When I am on the road, I don't always have access to a range that can help me get the trigger time I need to get ready for a shooting competition. I can set up my airsoft range anywhere. It's quiet, safe and RedWolf Airsoft always helps me get ready and in the game. As a professional shooter I always worry about my hearing even with hearing protection. I train with products from RedWolf Airsoft, not only because it is an important training tool, but it is also quiet and doesn't affect my hearing. Lanny -“As an Olympian and professional Shooter I believe that airsoft is one of the most important training tools a shooter can have. The reality is we can't all live at the range, so when we aren't at the range we can use airlift to get the trigger time and muscle memory we need to improve our shooting. Airsoft helps me to practice movement and other difficult shots with both pistol and rifle before I try them out with live fire and my competition guns. I can easily practice stages over and over, allowing me to save my ammo for the competition, but get the practice I need to compete with the best.
