RedWolf UK Retail Shop Grand Opening

At last, it has opened! After a year of waiting and careful planning, RedWolf Airsoft UK Retail Shop officially opened to UK airsoft players. Arriving at the site, everyone was extremely busy but I was still warmly welcomed by Chris Kong and Danny Yau to their newly designed store.

I first broke news of RedWolf Airsoft UK retail operations last year with Arclight giving us a video tour and explaining individual customers can finally order from them. Previously, RedWolf Airsoft's operations in the UK was wholesale, being a distributor of many airsoft products. Though the retail operations started last year, it was really a dry run so they can make adjustments such as expanding further their retail set-up especially for walk-in players, and having the UK version of the RedWolf Airsoft online store done to have a dedicated website for UK and European customers.

With all that done, their doors opened to a waiting line of guests last Sunday, 12 July 2013. Even for an usually warm and dry British Summer, where people hit the beaches all over the British Isles, my schedule was to visit once again and attend the grand opening of RedWolf Airsoft UK as assigned by Optimus Prime.

Located in Northway Trading Estate, Northway Lane Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, it’s just less than an hour away from my place in Birmingham. Standing behind the tills was Gaz Perkins and his partner in crime Sam Fellows and their assistant Josh Salt, all serving the eager and excited crowd.

The store is well-designed and it also have a very nice receiving room, complete with a very comfy settee, artistic wall decor and PS3! Delicious homemade burgers and lovely cup cakes were provided by Guy throughout the day. How can you say no that especially it was served by the boss’ daughter?!

Friendly competition was running at the shooting range, and who had the fastest time to shoot all targets wins a special prize, which I unfortunately didn't win. Also present to witness the opening were Ross Tucker (Technical Manager) and Neil Jones (Engineer) from WE Airsoft Europe. Covering the event with me was Nigel Streeter from Airsoft Action Magazine.

The RedWolf Airsoft grand opening was a success, with free food and drinks plus 10 % discount on all purchases, comfortable receiving room when taking a break from all those shopping, able to fire airsoct guns, and generally attend to what is one of the largest retail operations in the UK, what can an airsofter ask for more?
