Claw Gear Stalker Tactical Duty Uniform 1

Master Chief

We all know that in the Airsoft world, the more authentic the better. The only thing that players cannot do is use an authentic firearm, but for the rest, players can go as far as their money can get them. We’ve seen players come in full authentic battle gear from real body armour to NVGs. But these things are pretty expensive and only a lucky few could actually afford to have them. But one gear that will always be used by players is the combat uniform and getting a real deal authentic one can be a bit tricky.

One factor that gives a fake away is of course its price but I have had the experience of getting one that was said or labeled to be authentic and ending up shrunk after one tour of duty to the washing machine. This is the reason why players who want to get the real deal stuff need to be careful on where they buy their gears.

Baseline Supplies is a combat gear retailer that offers authentic combat uniforms used by the military. They are based here in the UK and are the distributors of Claw Gear.

Claw Gear is quite new in the market of tactical clothing. It is produced by a company called NVM Technologies based in Germany. They describe themselves as offering the highest quality products at economical prices and pride themselves of the fact that they do not use the “sweat shops” in East Asia.

The Stalker Tactical Duty Uniform

The Stalker TDU or Tactical Duty Uniform is one of the best tactical combat gears I have seen. It is cleverly designed wherein it always hugs comfortably the wearer's body even under a combat vest. Its integrated pocket system is very well designed that the pockets, no matter how big they are, stay flat when empty. And after discovering one pocket after another, the jacket and trouser combination has enough pockets to do away with all the extra pouches that you need to carry extra magazines and ammo.

The Stalker TDU 1 Combat Jacket

One thing that I always go for when choosing the right combat jacket to use is comfort and basic protection. As long as I can move about freely and it protects me from the cold and rain, that’s all fine by me. All of these I found in the Stalker Jacket plus a bit more.

Made from cotton and polyester, the fabric is tough enough to protect you from the harsh UK weather but surprisingly light enough to allow fast and comfortable movement in the skirmish field.

The jacket has two large breast pockets with cover flaps, which when opened, reveal two sets of compartments inside in each. The two Velcro straps on top of each pocket are also molle systems to attach tools or even extra mag pouches.

All buttons on the jacket are extra big. I think this is to allow the wearer to easily manage buttoning them on or off even with gloves on.

It has a huge removable hood that is big enough to use even with a helmet on and has a Mandarin or Chinese collar design to prevent the body armour or vest or rig shoulder straps or mpads from digging into the neck of the user.

There is an angular pocket on each upper arm that also has a Velcro patch for placing those well-earned team patches. On the lower part of the sleeve are another set of small pockets and two pistol mag pouches on the right sleeve. For comfort and protection, the jacket comes with a pair of removable elbow pads.

There is a flap on the inner lining of the jacket made of waterproof material. This, I assume serves as a protection from rain and other dirt from going through the inside of the jacket. There is also a good sized zipper pocket on the inside of the jacket that can accommodate a map or any valuable items to keep them from dirt and water.

In all the Stalker TDU jacket is one of the best combat gear jacket I have ever seen. It boasts of the perfect material to provide comfort and protection for the user. It is never lacking of any pockets for all those combat or skirmish necessities that you will need to carry with you.

The Stalker TDU 1 Combat Trousers

Probably the most complete all-in-one combat trousers that I have ever seen. These combat trouser are quite deceiving to the naked and untrained eye but on closer look, you will discover that they are more than just a pair of "trousers".

At first glance, the Stalker TDU Trousers look like any other ordinary combat trousers out in the market today. The only striking thing that catches the eye is the pair of removable knee pads pre-installed. But on closer look or shall I say, inspection, you will discover how much work and detail went into making these trousers.

The Stalker TDU Trousers are great for the eyes. They are contoured very well and heavy as they may look, are actually quite comfortable to wear. Since these are designed for real life combat, you will find little or no flaw at all. All pockets, well most of the ones I have already found, are strategically placed to give the best possible access for the user during combat. What you will discover as well is that most pockets have secondary pockets within them giving maximum capacity load for the user. The main back and cargo pockets are secured with an overlay cover with a heavy duty large button. The size of the button is big enough to use it even with gloves on, just like on the TDU 1 Shirt and D-rings for you to attach a lanyard.

Another clever design is the MOLLE webbing on both front thighs for inserting chemlights. This can be useful for attaching pouches. The only concern I have is that with the amount of pockets plus the MOLLE webbing can make someone go over the top in filling them top and could make the  trousers really heavy.

The knee pads are made of light weight materials and the knee area can be adjusted with a strap that goes around the back of the knee.

The bottom of each leg also has draw string leg ties that extend from underneath to help secure the bottom.

In summary, the Stalker TDU is a great combat duty uniform. With a clever design and heavy duty material, it is one of the best combat gears I have ever seen and worn. Plus it also gives the user great protection from the weather. This is definitely something that is worth buying.

Note: The Stalker TDU  combat trouser now has a second and much improved version and can be purchased from www.baselinesupplies.co.uk.
