Shot Show Japan 2014 Spring Edition Osaka, 31 May to 1 June

Gungho Cowboy

Around two weeks right  after the 53rd Shizuoka Hobby Show in Tokyo, Japanese airsoft and militaria enthusiasts will head west of the country where the spring edition of the Shot Show 2014 Japan will be held. Always a big event in this part of Japan and organised by the DSI Club, Shot Show Japan is held twice a year. First in late Spring, then the second one in late Fall.

For those who are traveling to Osaka, you are advised that you'll have to take public transportation on your way to the venue (leave your car at your hotel) as there is no parking space there (Chuo-ku, Osaka 2-9-28 Nishi-Shinsaibashi). Just like an expo, be prepared to walk and explore the exhibit place as there might be some treasures to find in terms of the gear or items that you will be looking for.

If it is going to be your first time to visit this event, expect to find airsoft guns, tactical equipment, surplus, hobby stuff, outdoor equipment, and of course a very noisy flea market type place. This means for the collector and geardo a fun place to be in. Major airsoft retailers, gear sellers, airsoft manufacturers such as Tokyo Marui, will be there as well. As the organisers say, the leaders in the industry in Japan will have their presence at the Shot Show.

Doors will be open from 1000H to 1700H on both days, 31 May and 1 June, A single day ticket will cost you JPY500 and there's no mention of a 2-day ticket but you can apply for an advance ticket by mailing some required details to the Shot Show Japan Secretariat. You can even come in the whatever uniform you want to be seen on.

As always, we'll try to find a way to post an after action report which we often source from Hyperdouraku, the famous Japanese airsoft blog, and of the winner of the 4th Airsoft Players' Choice Awards as the best airsoft blog.
