ON Getting an Automatic and Correct Flash Sight Picture+ ......

FYI, I have reworked and updated some info on: "How you can get an automatic and correct Flash Sight Picture + ......" And even when you can't see the sights or use them. As a case in point, on 9/4 I was shooting at aerials (pop cans), and hitting them with a glock airsoft gun that I am not so fond of due to its bulky grip that I have cut down. Shooting at and hitting aerials is not that hard. And doing it will make "normal" point shooting a breeze.

JG Thunder Maul

The Jing Gong Thunder Maul has now arrived to the British Isles, and we’ve got it now courtesy of one of my favorite Hong Kong retail store (Airsoft Global). "Every now and then something strange happens in the community of airsoft. The Thunder Maul from the hit series of Ghost in a Shell is one of the strange but attractive type of rifles. It has a rubberised stock and grips which make it comfortable to use.

Piston Short Stroking

Piston short stroking is a well-known technique that helps increase ROF. The logic is simple: decrease piston
cycling time by removing teeth from the piston and the sector gear.
Advantage? Less stress on the gears, the motor, and the battery. Gain?
One sixteenth rps per every tooth removed. Loss? 15-20fps per tooth
removed.

Short stroking is done by removing teeth from the piston and the matching teeth from the sector gear.

First, the piston.

Painted Guns Safe?

Now for those smart politicians and law enforcement people who think that painting a gun with brightly colored pictures would label them as "harmless" and separate the toys and airsoft from the real thing. Now, they may just have to think of something else better as real guns are now being painted brightly now. So all those proposals that airsoft guns be painted with orange tips or two-tone colors are just for nothing.

VFC SCAR Water Test

I want to share this video I saw on you tube about the VFC SCAR put under water. The SCAR-L was first dismantled and all the parts were submerged under water, then it was assembled and given a test fire and it still works! Since it was raining at the place where the test was conducted, I wonder if they can just leave the AEG there for sometime under the rain and given a test fire. Though I'm still skeptical since it will take some lubing and cleaning again after the test fire was done. More test can is needed to convince me other wise. :-)

Galaxy MP5K PDW Take Down Videos

Another video take from the Airsoft Combat Enthusiasts (ACE) Brigade's leading airsoft gunsmith, Bulletproof_mike. This is a video of taking down the Galaxy G5 (MP5K PDW) and how to upgrade it to taking a 9.6V battery to achieve a higher ROF. For those who are encountering problems for their Galaxy MP5K and PDWs, this is a must see video as it will be helpful in fixing and maintaining these babies.

VFC SCAR Video from WGC

This is a nice video close-up of the upcoming Vega Force Company SCAR-L which initially shows it with a shortened barrel. No background music, no one talking to discuss its finer features, but the handling of the AEG is absolutely very professional.

So here's the video now, enjoy!!! :)
