Tom Clancy's The Division E3 2014 Trailer & Gameplay Demo

Logan

It's the second feature story of a video game title in two days that has Tom Clancy's name on it.  With the E3 conference, we are focused mostly on game titles that airsoft players would be wanting to play, which usually are FPS and RPG titles. While yesterday Gungho Cowboy wrote about the Tom Clancy's Rainbox Six: Siege, another title which actually does not follow either the Rainbow Six or Ghost Recon series, was also presented at E3 2014 --- The Division.

And their latest trailer was a bit depressing, but for those who like post-apocalyptic games, this one's a high-tech version. Still it's something that we are looking forward to playing when it gets released in 2015.

When I first read and watched the initial teasers of Tom Clancy's The Division, I like the storyline of a post-apocalyptic New York City after a disease released on Black Friday devastated the USA in five days. With the collapse of a government, various factions fought each other, and The Division, which is short for the Strategic Homeland Division (SHD) has to combat threats and try to establish order upon direct authority from the President.

The Division will have to battle factions and to save whatever civilized remnants of New York and to protect defenseless civilians from the marauding armed groups. The Division has high-tech tools to use which gives them an advantage against the lawless elements. However, there are lots of threats against any attempts to put order and The Division's members will have many armed encounters.

As reported before, The Division is being developed with the Snow Drop Engine made for the new generation game consoles.  And speaking of gaming consoles, after a petition by the PC gaming community, Ubisoft finally decided to include a version of the game for Microsoft Windows. It should be as many of the diehard gamers of such titles are from the PC gaming community.

Originally targeted for release this year, The Division will be released in 2015. With Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege to be released on the  same year, Ubisoft will have to time their releases carefully without having one title eating up into the sales of the other. But I really won't care, I will get both titles even if they’re released at the same time. I'll deal which multiplayer mode to spend more time on after.
