Which Target Will Be Selected for The NRA 3-GAS Event?

OptimusPrime

We are keenly following developments of 3-GAS (Gas from Airsoft) or the Airsoft 3-GUN matches which the National Rifle Association (NRA). Whilst the NRA seemed to have not been using the 3-GAS ever since they first wrote about conducting 3-Gun tourneys for .22 and Airsoft to encourage beginner shooters and airsoft players to support 3-Gun, I am using it as I just like the sound of it. As I have previously wrote, the 1st NRA 3-GAS event will be held in Georgia this Saturday 13 April.

What we are curious also is about target selection for 3-GAS.  According to the NRA Blog, they are looking into three types of targets that that can be used for the event. NRA is not developing its own design for the targets, but are looking into offerings from existing airsoft target vendors. For the vendors, the selection of their targets can be a big boost for their business, given that NRA can influence purchasing decisions of their members, and even range owners.

Curious which products are being considered? Here are the "finalists" (though this is not exactly a bidding war for being selected as event target):

Shootmyash - Most of Popular Airsoft readers are familiar about the company as we regularly write about news coming from the company. This is a fun target to shoot at, especially for recreational shooters as they get immediate feedback with its electronic targeting system. It's flexible as you can configure different types of shooting games with it. Whether competitive or recreational Shootmyash can be used in the airsoft range and even in the arcade.

Challenge Targets - Still a relatively young company as it was established in 2009. It supplies conventional shooting targets for ranges and firearms training centres. Whilst they supply mainly real steel shooters, they also have products that can be used for airsoft.

BAM Airsoft - BAM Airsoft is exclusively sold by Airsoft Extreme and they're primary market is of course, the airsoft market. They also have a good range of targets that can be configured for competitive, recreational, and practice purposes.  Their competition range is comprised of the BAM Steel Challenge Set, The BAM Star, and The Pendulum.

We wonder where MadBull Airsoft as they have IPSC timers and aluminium targets that are made for airsoft practical shooting and we did like the products they released as we were able to use them for some side practical shooting in some of our events.  The MadBull IPSC Timer with Stop Plate works perfectly.

Which will the NRA Recreational Shooting Specialists Andy Lander and Samantha Olsen choose to use for the 3-GAS Event at the SAS Black Ops Range in Marietta, Georgia this Saturday? They are not telling yet and will be revealed on the day itself. I am curious about the criteria they formed to make the selection.
