Day 3 At The Military, Airsoft & Outdoor (MOA) Exhibition 2017

OptimusPrime

Arriving a little bit late on the final day of the Military, Airsoft & Outdoor (MOA) Exhibition 2017, waking up later than usual. On the final day of the Exhibition, it’s more on taking videos than taking photos as most of the photos of the items that our readers will be interested in have already been posted.

I immediately dropped by at the Centurion Options booth as I already had an appointment with Larry Cheung,  who did a really comprehensive presentation of the products they carry such as Fobus, CAA, FAB Defense, Tru Glo, and Claw Gear. Assisting him was the amazing Annie Wu who was very knowledgeable about the products. Annie Wu was our first featured woman when Popular Airsoft launched its newly redesigned website in 2010.

Up next was Poseidon with their new upgrades for gas blowback pistols and rifles. What gas blowback shooters should take note that their upgrade can help their GBB guns perform under cold conditions which is usually a problem for GBBs. Once the video is up, we’ll post news about it so you can watch the gas blowbacks work after being dipped in ice.

Modify have setup a shooting area wherein visitors that clock the fastest times win a prize. One has two shoot a popper using the new Mod 24x sniper rifle and then run to the next stage and shoot a few more poppers with the XTC AEG.

Another video that you should look forward to is the short presentation of the M249 Gas Blowback MG by A&K which for those who are looking for a gas blowback support weapon should be heaven sent. They also revealed that they are going to release an improved PKM AEG with improvements in the internals such as the gearbox.

I dropped by the Xcortech booth where they demonstrated the X3300W MK2 Advance BB Control System with Ultra Bright UV Light Tracer Unit amongst the other chrono products they have which are already popular amongst airsoft players. The product has multiple functions and a sample unit has been issued to me so expect a review of the X3300W MK2. They have a small shooting range where they installed their Xcortech XTS-105 Auto Target System. You may have a video of this taken during the Hooha show but they added something new. It can also be coin operated. A shooter just drops in a coin then presses the button to start shooting the random targets and do the fastest time.

I went back again to the WE Airsoft booth where Light Lam shows the upcoming WE Thompson M1A1. According to him, it will be released next month though final pricing still has to be determined. It has full markings and comes with faux wood. A video of it being tested in semi and full auto will follow soon.

VFC are showcasing their upcoming Virgo M4 Conversion System. They consider the AR platform as a “Lego” and as such as promoting the Virgo as way mix and match your M4 AEG. The system also confirms that VFC have started implementing their own electronics in their gearbox with their ECS Gearbox with the Digital Firing Control System. Programmable and you can set how many rounds a burst mode should be, it also has an active braking system that properly sets the spring.  They will be working with PTS Syndicate, as airsoft players can incorporate external parts from PTS to fit with the Virgo.

There are still many things to say about three-day event but for now these are the highlights of Day 3. Soon an overall report of the MOA Exhibit 2017 will be posted.
