MOA 2019 Day 2

Saturday is usually the busiest day at any trade event as people get free from their week day jobs and thus, can attend events. That is the case as well for the MOA Exhibition 2019 in Taipei as the local airsoft community and the overall airsoft industry in Asia and buyers from around the world went to the Taipei World Trade Center to check the products out and conduct business.

Having done the first livestream walkthrough of the day, I went to visit the HFC booth as they have another vintage-style pistol that will be released. During the first MOA Exhibition in 2017, we featured the HFC Flintlock pistol and that got traction, being well received by collectors of such novelty items. Called the George Washington’s Gun, it was presented by Cindy Hu who discussed the various features and backed up two assistants in Colonial American and Pirate garb.

Next for me to visit was Centurion Options, which for those familiar company, carries many gear made  by Israeli gear and weapons accessories manufacturers. But now they are making weapons accessories as well such as M-Lok hanguard from the Umarex/VFC UMP-45 GBB with a version for the AEG to follow. They have partnered with CAA Airsoft to work on carbine conversion kits such as those made for the SIG P320. Also on display were optics and solar-charged lighting solutions from Tru-Glo.

I went back to Poseidon so we can do a proper video of their Punisher AEG series which like the latest generation AEGs, will come with its electric trigger system and that means it has its own MOSFET so the players can program the firing modes for the AEG. It is responsive as I have tested in their own range that is something that we suggest for players to check out once it finally gets released.

One GBB Pistol that the airsofters around the world are excited about is the GHK which has built a reputation in building gas blowback rifles. In cooperation with Umarex, they are now working on Glock 17 Gen 3 pistol that has a 17-round lightweight magazine. It can be powered by CO2 and Green gas, has a muzzle velocity of 90 m/s and a trigger pull of 22N. This probably the pistol that can give the Tokyo Marui Glock 17 Gen 3 pistol stiff competition.

Afterwards, I talked to Ruby of Acetech about their upcoming products. Their Lighter series, which is a tracer unit series with option for Bluetooth, is a hit amongst players and now they will be releasing the Lighter R. Also on display is the AC6000BT, which is Bluetooth-ready version of the AC6000 Chronograph. With a mobile app, a game site marshal can check Chrono readings remotely rather than squinting to check the readings on the screen, a good option if is hard to read the chrono results on the screen of the chrono especially in broad daylights.

After another very late quick lunch at the food court of Taipei 101, I dropped by the Modify-Tech booth again to check out the new member of their XTC AEG series, the X70C1. This will be released soon and it is the first in the member of the XTC series to come equipped with the GATE Aster MOSFET. According to Jane Liu They are also building more rifles such as new AEGs and some that I cannot disclose yet as they build partnerships around the world.

MOA 2019 Day 2 10

Overall, it is quite a busy day and it was the biggest crowd we’ve seen since MOA Exhibition started in 2017. After the day ended, I rushed back to the hotel to drop off my equipment and freshen up for the next event, the MEALSIM MOA Taipei. This is the third official MEALSIM event after MEALSIM IWA in Nuremberg and MEALSIM SHOT Show in Las Vegas.

MOA 2019 Day 2 11

There is still a third day and we will be going to check some new digital shooting tech for airsoft and for those curious about what VFC has in store, I will be dropping by their booth today.
