Airsoft International Magazine Volume 3 Issue 6 Now Out

OptimusPrime

Just out yesterday, Airsoft International Magazine Volume 3 Issue 6. Check with your favourite airsoft retailer or the nearest bookstore if this is already on their shelves... "The first of October came and went, and the VCR Bill is now the VCR Act. Now it's illegal for airsoft retailers in the U.K. to sell you an airsoft rifle or pistol unless you are a registered skirmisher. That also applies to private sales.

One forum that seems to be leading the way is AF-UK  as they will soon have, up and running, a secure server which will only allow registered skirmishers to access where you will be able to sell and buy second hand rifles and pistols in confidence. What's more Ai have teamed up with them to offer a Classified section for our readers. So in  a few issues' time we will be publishing the For Sale and Wanted listings. The service will be free to Ai readers and what's more we will also be posting all of our reader's classified ads directly to AF-UK. The service is not exclusively for UK readers, in fact the service is open to our world wide family. It seems that a lot of you out there in Ai land can't quite get your heads around the whole personal imports thing (turn to the UKARA page for an in-depth answer). Personal imports are still allowed under the VCR Act, but only to registered players here in the UK that can provide a defence. That defence being that you are a UKARA-registered player.

So what's on our radar in the coming months? Well how's about a kickass training and big game weekend? Tied in with a small Expo (which has attracted big sponsors such as BlackHawk and 5.11). What's more we're actually bringing Donnie T all the way over from the US as part of the training team to put you lot through a number of challenging training modules at Longmoor camp on the 10th and 11th November. Places are already limited but if you'd like to attend just check out the ad on page 42.

As far as the rest of the world is concerned (don't worry) because we are working on a number of projects in Europe and the US, we found some interesting venues in the US to kick off the Ai 500 USA and the same can be said about Europe. Talking about the Ai 500 (UK) we've found a site and are almost ready to announce dates and times so keep an eye out in future editions.

The CBL Gen II is ready to rock. I personally want to thank our readers for making the Gen I a rip roaring success, but why not try our new design, which comes complete with a Coolmax torso and is available in ACU and British desert DPM?

Remember it's you guys that have made Ai into what it is today. Our promise to you is that we will continue to publish a quality monthly publication aimed directly at you.

Hop on board and enjoy the ride!

Paul"
