Airsoft Surgeon SR25 Sniper Version

OptimusPrime

Another Airsoft Surgeon custom gun now out at RedWolf Airsoft, the Airsoft Surgeon SR25 Sniper Version..."This beautiful custom gun from Airsoft Surgeon is replica of the semi-automatic sniper rifle as designed by Eugene Stoner and made by Knight's Armament Company. The SR-25, also known as the Stoner Rifle 25, is loosely based on the Stoner's AR-10, or the AR-15/M16 system. It is highly reputed for its accuracy and reliability.

Airsoft Surgeon have created a no-nonsense, no expenses spared, AEG version of Eugene Stoner's venerable design. As you can see from the detailed pictures, all the details are there, with Knight's Armament logo laser-etched onto one side of the metal receiver and on the other side is "Rifle 7.62mm MK11 Mod O", which is the moniker that the US Navy use for the SR-25. A Picatinny-style rail has been added to give it a bit of authenticity, and a scope is mounted on top of that for perfect-precision sniping. On the subject of sniping, a bipod has been added to aid in stabilising the gun.

Aesthetically, a notable change from the norm, is the addition of a Magpul Precision Rifle Stock, which is intended for use on a real gun but has been modified to fit on this excellent AEG. The stock allows the user to adjust the length and the height of the cheek-pad to their preferences, done precisely with the click wheels. It makes a change from the extendable stocks which can only be extended in inch-long increments. This real-steel stock alone commands a premium price, quite simply because it is of premium quality. It combines nicely with the SPR grip, which make this a pretty gun to look at. A PEQ battery box is required and is included in the package, which provides 10.8v worth of juice. To add to this, Clarence Lai has worked his magic to squeeze 460fps out of this gun. It performs pretty sweetly as well, with a nice recycling sound. Although, as mentioned before, the real-steel SR-25 is a semi-automatic rifle, this fires on full-auto too if you want. The body still has the marking "safe" and "fire" for the sake of authenticity.
