Bulletproof backpack manufacturer Ballistipax was also attending the event and had a few of their Survivor-1 backpacks for demo. The packs have rapid-deploy panels that pull out of the pack and serve as frontal protection. The packs come with plastic or Polyethylene (UHMWPE) plate body armor. James was skeptical about the performance of these plastic body armor plates, so the guys from Ballistipax let him try burning one down with a full auto H&K MP5 using standard ball 9mm ammunition.
