G&G Armament's version of the VSS Vintorez, the G&G VSS AEG, gets reviewed by Airsoft R US Tactical... "The VSS Vintorez is a Russian suppressed sniper rifle developed in the late 1980s for undercover or clandestine operations; a role made evident by its ability to be stripped down for transport in a specially fitted briefcase.

Hypedouraku reviews the G&G GSS, or the what is G&G's take on the VSS Vintorez rifle. This is made of aluminium, real wood, and plastic and is quite hefty. It's a bit more proprietary for G&G as its battery compartment is located at the outer barrel where you will need to screw the ring at the back of the barrel and install the especially designed battery which also requires a unique charger. Fortunately, G&G has included two batteries and a charger in the package.

Booligan Airsoft got a review unit of the G&G Armament's GSS AEG (airsoft replica of the VSS Vintorez) and give us a preview before he does the full review... News that was just in early today, G&G Armament have announced that the G&G GSS AEG is now released. The GSS is their version of the VSS Vintorez. This comes with 250-round magazine, 8mm bearing gearbox, an inner barrel length of 430mm. Please do check with your nearest G&G retailer when thet are going to have this in stock.

Still another video from DesertFox Airsoft at the SHOT Show featuring the the G&G GSS pre-production model. The G&G GSS is G&G Armament's version of the VSS Vintorez and features G&G's modified Modular Assault Rifle System (MARS) allowing you to easily interchange after market parts from G&G. No idea yet when it will be released, including pricing and the MARS is surely interesting.

As mentioned before, there is a race to release two Russian-designed rifles in the market this year, namely the AS Val and the VSS Vintorez. We know that King Arms, Smart Team, and LCT Airsoft are to release their version, but another big airsoft is in the running and they seem to be putting their version of the VSS Vintorez into production.
