Inventor of Kevlar Dies At Age 90

Last 18 June 2014, Polish-American Chemist, Stephanie Kwolek, passed away at the age of 90. She is forever known to be the kick-ass scientist who invented Kevlar while she was working at DuPont. Kevlar is well known to in the tactical community for the vest used for ballistic protection, though Kevlar has many uses for both civilian and military purposes being five times stronger than steel in weight.
