Airsoft Surgeon X Swarovski-Dolce Stil Novo Is Just Exquisite

Gungho Cowboy

You may just ask if it's a slow day for us here at Popular Airsoft. In a way it is, as it is a week in which most people are just busy planning for the long Easter Weekend rather than seeking out airsoft news and information. But it's not stopping us from finding something to write about, and this latest work from the Airsoft Surgeon, just brings airsoft bling to a new level as we get teased by RedWolf Airsoft when they uploaded the photos at their Facebook page.

Airsoft Surgeon X Swarovski-Dolce Stil Novo is obviously a kit that is studded with Swarovski Crystals, and we do not know if this is a kit or it would be a fully developed airsoft pistol based on the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa pistol with all the best upgrade parts that Clarence Lai would think of to come up with a very high premium pistol. If it does come out as a fully built pistol for collectors, then this may just be priced more than the usual Airsoft Surgeon custom airsoft gas blowback pistol which nowadays is already priced above US$1,500 mark.

I expect this to be a very limited run or on a per custom order basis. If you think that there is no market for this, then just compare it to the Vertu line of luxury mobile phones, which are also studded with Swarvoski Crytals and all handmade and have a ready line up customers willing to snap up what they put out. There will be people who will be attracted to the bling of Swarovski Crystals embedded into a consumer product, in this case an Airsoft Surgeon product and won't even blink with the price tag. This might even make Damien Hirst proud of Clarence Lai.

The base seem to be the Prime Type C SV Grips which are already dimpled all throughout, providing a ready base for the Swarovski Crystals to be embedded. Whilst the Type C SV grips are two-tone, Clarence Lai opted for a single colour base.

There are varied reactions to this design when the photos were posted at the Facebook page, with some going to unwanted homophobic remarks typical of people who have nothing constructive to say. It's not really for a general market. But for us, we say it's exquisite, a work of art and for a good number of airsoft players, that will be a very subjective thing.

How much would this cost you ask? We do not know yet, but it would surely put a big dent on your annual salary. But if you are Wall Street or City Trader, or even dictator of a Third-World country, then you might easily afford it. Students need not enquire as long as they cannot provide proof that they are trust-fund babies.

Sometimes it sucks to be part of the 99%.
