We have seen new releases from Tokyo Marui for this year, such as the Hi-Capa D.O.R. as well as the AKS47 Type 3 NGRS. We are expecting the Lightning Hawk .50AE 10” Magnaport Kendo Custom Shop  GBB Pistol to be released as well but there are some production issues so its release has been delayed. But we are sure many of you are looking forward to the first major trade event that Tokyo Marui will be announcing their new products reveal for 2018.

Yes, that means all eyes of fans of the revered Japanese airsoft company will be set on what the company will unveil at the 58th Shizuoka Hobby Show next month.

In the past years, we tried prodding the company on what they will reveal before any trade event that they will be participating in. But to no avail, the company is usually tight-lipped. Not even the Japan-based airsoft media gets advance information. Thus, we are left to the tradition of the Tokyo Marui giving some initial teasers on what they will reveal at the event that we will all try to guess what these are which usually ends in mixed results.

We hope that they won’t disappoint. For 2019, we are excited for the release of the MK46 Mod0 NGRS which is the first support weapon offering from Tokyo Marui. But we do look forward that they sweeten this year with even more innovative products or more NGRS AEGs.

We’ll get to have the teaser until after the long holiday in Japan which starts today and will run for 10 days up to the 6th of May as they observe the ascension to the throne of his Imperial Highness, the Crown Prince Naruhito will be the 126th Emperor of Japan, and will be called the Reiwa Imperial Era.

The 58th Shizuoka Hobby Show will run from the 9th of May to the 12th of May 2019. The event will be open for trade visitors for 9-10 May and the public will be able to access on 11-12 May. The event will be at the Twin Messe Shizuoka.
