Hercules V is one of the editions of the HERCULES SERIES, the oldest and longest, international series of MilSim games in Portugal. It is a 36-hour nonstop airsoft milsim series where every edition is different from the others.  Each edition has ten to twelve different missions without any rest or stops for 36h, just walking and when a mission ends the other one starts.  This goes on for two nights and a day and a half.

The Hercules Series editions has of 80% of players who can`t reach the extraction point due to weather conditions, the great expanse of the game areas (in some editions the players walked more than 40kms or made night navigation and beach operations), difficult terrain, precise timing for the missions, and the impact, difficulty and diversity of the missions.

HERCULES V will be on the 14th, 15th, 16th of February 2014 . It has a maximum of 8 Hercules Teams with 8 to 12 members and these teams face each other during the game. There are also Hunting Teams who are given the mission to eliminate all the players; they only know the entrance areas at 0000H and the area of the extraction point. Finally, there are the few Organization Forces but with confidential information about the game.

It may sound strange but the most important factor is your motivational and your psychological strength and resistance (for example if the organization forces get you will be in pressured and stressed). The second factor is if you are ready for this in terms of adequate equipment (not just for show) for cold, rain, long walking periods and your knowledge for example, on how to take care of your feet.

The game is based on surprise and the game rules are very simple: the players only get to know the missions as they go on with the game --- the precise area is not revealed until the last moment; and no military charts are given, only Google Earth images, photos and others. But they can use military charts, GPS, or smartphones such as the Android ones.

No high capacity magazines are allowed , and minimum equipment is required. If one player gets killed in one mission he puts the red marker to go with the Hercules team and return to game in the next mission. If all players of one Hercules team are killed they are out (can join the organization forces). There is no competition, this is just to promote the milsim brotherhood. The veterans (players who have participated in two or more editions) and the players that reach the final extraction point will receive the new HERCULES SERIES patch.
