Know More About LCT Airsoft

Dom

LCT stands for Li Cheng Technique Business Company, but the name LCT Airsoft probably doesn’t mean much for many of us. That is why, this Taiwan-based company has been very aggressive in making its presence felt by coming up with breakthrough replicas for the more meticulous airsoft enthusiast. Most people may not be aware of it, but they may have already bought LCT products, only under a different name. I am fortunate enough to have been given the chance to correspond with Mr. Filou Chen and have him talk about LCT Airsoft, and help us understand more about this AEG brand.

Popular Airsoft: Filou, as far as I know your company is the exclusive distributor of LCT products worldwide. Please tell us about LCT’s history.

Filou Chen: LCT started manufacturing parts for the OEM/ODM market. We provide steel, aluminum, nylon fiber plastic and wood parts for all AK series since 2000. Now we make both conversion kits and complete AEG for airsoft players or collectors and sell these worldwide by our exclusive distributor, “Ryh Yeou Trading Co. Ltd”.

Leaving Inokatsu will change anything regarding the product line or LCT will still produce only AK variants in the future?

After leaving Inokatsu, we need to develop our own trading network through RYH YEOU. All of our AK conversion kits will maintain the usual ultra high quality and extreme realism. For other airsoft series, we continue to provide OEM/ODM service.

How LCT thinks about the low cost ACM products and how you’re trying to keep LCT competitive?

The quality of low-cost ACM is not stable both internal and external. Customers often pay more money when upgrading or repairing those than buying a reliable LCT AEG for example. LCT is already competitive because not too many manufacturers set their quality standards high like we did.

It seems like Taiwanese manufacturers are going for quality over quantity. Can you tell us why?

For us it’s simply a moral reason and I think a manufacturer should care more about the quality than quantity. Players still want realistic weapons and we won’t let them down.

LCT mainly produces conversion kits but you also have complete AEGs on the menu. All the internal parts were made by the company or is there a partner who delivers the gearbox and other parts?

Our first AEG is the AMD-65 where we borrowed the internal parts from another famous Taiwan manufacturer. We try to release our own line of internal parts with our next complete AEG.

Are you going to make internal parts (LCT or partner) available for purchase?

Yes, the internal parts will be available in the near future.

Your kits are compatible mainly with Tokyo Marui or they can be fitted on other brands too?

They can be fitted in if they are based Tokyo Marui Ver.3 box.

The AMD-65 is available only as a complete AEG or there is a conversion kit as well?

Yes, we have both versions available.

What’s on the drawing board at LCT right now? Any interesting release for the next year?

This is top secret and I wish I could tell you guys.

LCT kits and parts are now available on www.dynamicstar.com.tw/ and I’ve seen the prices are listed in three different currencies. That means you are able to deal with customers worldwide?

Absolutely, we do ship worldwide through our Taiwanese partner Dynamic Star. Our complete product range is available on that Website. This way, players won’t be affected by stock shortages at our retail partners.

Thank you for your time Filou!
