This took a while in coming, but something to be welcomed by airsoft players who are into high-end AEGs from Systema Engineering and Tokyo Marui. Magpul PTS has finally announced that they will be releasing their PMAG airsoft magazines for the M4 PTWs from Systema and the M4 New Generation with Blowback and Recoil from Tokyo Marui.

The PMAGs will be something welcomed by MilSim and mid-cap airsoft players, as they are the 120-round variety and designed specifically to work the same as the original magazines for the PTWs and New Gens. Though what was not confirmed if these same rifles will also stop firing when the PMAG empties but for the Tokyo Marui M4 New Gen, it can be changed to fire at Real-Cap mode, meaning it can also be limited to 30 rounds.

As for pricing, we just hope that these are still priced the same as the original PMAGs which are compatible with the old Tokyo Marui M4 AEGs and their clones. Though we may not be surprised if these are going to be priced near these magazines, especially the PTWs, which are also expensive. The release date for these magazines was not mentioned, but we are all looking forward to these being released before the end of the year. These magazines will be available in dark earth and black colours.

With this development, perhaps we can also expect  Magpul PTS to be looking into developing a PMAG for the Tokyo Marui G36, plus EMAGs and PMAGs with MagLevels for the PTWs and New Gen M4s in the future too.
