The Next Must Have Gear: The Battle Mug (If You Can Get One)

Logan

Tired after a long and hard day of training? Or arriving from an Op that nobody would write about and heap accolades? Or even after a great day of airsoft skirmishes? We always wanted to grab that ice-cold beer after putting down all the equipment we've carried and just drink to our heart's content for the rest of the day. What more would beat drinking beer with a fully topped-up Battle Mug, froth and all?

Yes! The Battle Mug! Already available for orders for over two years now, it's now the preferred mug of choice for the boots on the ground. A simple but swell idea of US Army vets, they created the Battle Mug after wondering what would they do with the M4 carry handles that they had scattered around.

"Long viewed as either hardcore gun guys that like to drink, or hardcore beer guys that like to shoot, it seemed only natural that these Vets would figure out a way of combining two great passions into one ass-kicking device."

Already in "operation" at various US military and law enforcement organizations, Battle Mug is a heavy one, weighing 13.5lbs (a bit over 6kgs), it's way heavier than the KART M14 Airsoft EBR rifle, and its material is a solid block of CNC'd T6 billet aluminum. It comes with the M1913 rail interface system. The M4 carry handle can be bought as an optional accessory, but most would buy it together with it, so it would make better sense if they just sell it as a full package --- mug and carry handle.

You can configure the Battle Mug with rifle accessories: a battle knife, optics, tactical torch, or more importantly the ACE Limited Tactical Rail Mounted Bottle Opener which should be its perfect companion. How would you pour a drink into the Battle Mug if you don't have anything to open a bottle of beer?

The Battle Mug can give you some nice ideas to kill time while drinking with your buddies. Mount a laser sight on the rail and have a drinking contest for who can put the red/green dot on the bullseye of a paper target the fastest and the Battle Mug full of beer. No spilling of contents or you lose. Though I would not recommend doing any games with a Battle Mug mounted with a battle knife, much less go into a bar room fight with someone wielding it.

It is an expensive thing, as it is priced at US$189.00 at their online store. Add the M4 carry handle for US$33.95, then that's US$229.95, unless you have a spare M4 Carry Handle lying around (or buy those carry handles made M4 for airsoft guns if you're on a tight budget). You can have your name, serial number, and unit engraved also, especially for Unit orders where you need to pay US$100.00 to set up the engraving design, thenn US$30.00 for each mugh engraved with members of your team/unit.

For now, the Battle Mug is available in US and outlying territories and the makers reserve the right to limit provision of the Battle Mug. It may be tough luck for overseas customers, or even airsofters, unless you're a member of the US Armed Forces or Law Enforcement Units. If you're lucky enough to get one for yourself, then you might be a part of the privileged ones to own the Battle Mug.
