Safariland Limited Edition Chocolate Chip Holsters

Safariland has launched in April of this year, a new line of holsters in their popular 6000 Series. A popular brand for holsters in airsoft, the company's limited edition series features a unique design - the Chocolate Chip camouflage pattern. This camo pays tribute to the iconic Desert Battle Dress Uniform (DBDU) used in the 1990s and Operation Desert Storm.

The Chocolate Chip camo, also known as six-color desert camouflage, has a rich history. Developed by the U.S. in 1971 and inspired by California's rocky deserts, it rose to prominence during the Gulf War. Its nickname comes from its resemblance to chocolate chip cookie dough and has since become a symbol of resilience and adaptability, adopted by militaries worldwide.

This limited edition series includes three holster models: the Cordura wrapped 6354RDS, 6304RDS, and 6354RDSO. All three prioritize safety with Safariland's Automatic Locking System (ALS) technology. This innovative feature secures the firearm during movement and high-stress situations, offering peace of mind to the user.

Another key feature is red dot sight compatibility. All three models are designed to work with popular micro red dot sights, improving target acquisition and accuracy. It's important to note that Safariland doesn't guarantee compatibility with non-factory mounted red dots.

Versatility is another highlight. The holsters feature the QLS 19 Locking Fork, which can be mounted on various platforms using the QLS 22 Receiver Plate. This allows users to adapt their holsters to different carrying options, maximizing operational efficiency.

“Our goal at Safariland is to equip our customers with the best gear available,” said Eric Gasvoda, General Manager of Duty Gear for Safariland. “The limited edition Chocolate Chip camo holsters offer top-notch functionality and pay homage to the rich history of military camouflage. We are excited to bring this iconic pattern to our customers.”

These holsters are built to handle any environment, making them ideal for hunting expeditions, tactical operations, or even airsoft. Perhaps it’s also good for those who want that 1990 Operation Desert Storm loadout in reenactments or airsoft events.

The limited edition Chocolate Chip camo holsters are still available at Safariland and if you want one or all holster models, better grab them before they’re gone. Just don't eat them.
