Springfield Armory, a renowned firearms producer from Geneseo, Illinois, has introduced four new models to its esteemed Emissary 1911 pistol series. Launched on March 21, 2024, these latest models present a stylish all-black design, appealing to users in search of a feature-packed, defense-focused firearm.

The Emissary series serves as a bridge between standard duty handguns and bespoke designs. Constructed with a sturdy forged steel frame and slide, these pistols emphasize durability and dependability. The new models are distinguished by a black Cerakote finish, offering superior resistance to corrosion and a tactical look.

The Emissary is designed for enhanced trigger control, even when the user is wearing gloves, thanks to its unique squared trigger guard. The slide's top features an exclusive "Tri-Top" cut, lending a custom touch. This flat surface is paired with practical 40 lpi serrations that reduce glare during use.

The Emissary facilitates target acquisition with its tritium and luminescent front sight, coupled with a Tactical Rack U-Dot™ rear sight. This pairing ensures a clear sight picture in low-light conditions.

With the Emissary, accuracy and recoil control are of utmost importance. A bushingless stainless steel bull barrel with a black nitride finish enhances precision while minimizing felt recoil and muzzle flip. Additionally, the skeletonized hammer and solid-body, flat-faced trigger collaborate to provide a sharp and responsive shooting experience.

The Emissary ensures a firm grip under all circumstances, featuring a grenade-pattern texture on the front strap and mainspring housing. This texture is further augmented by slim line G10 grip panels from VZ Grips. Each pistol is supplied with two high-grade magazines with base pads for extra ammunition capacity.

The all-black Springfield Armory Emissary 1911 pistols are offered in two calibers (.45 ACP and 9mm) and two barrel lengths (4.25" and 5"). The manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) for each model is $1,378.
