Modify-Tech explains the issue of low FPS in AEGs and one cause is can also be the hop-up spring. They present their Tapered Hop-Up Spring in their XTC as a good solution... "There are lots of variables causing AEGs low FPS issue. The air seal is a key point. The hop up spring, though small, accomplishes big as it can pushes the hop up chamber back into the air nozzle to reach a good air seal.
Originally posted at their Facebook Page, Modify made a video showing the durability of their XTC 190-Round Mid Capacity Magazine. First dropped on the first floor, then on the fourth floor of building, the magazine was put through a AEG feed test and still is able to feed properly. If you're looking for a tough midcap magazine for your AEG, then this should be a good candidate.
Another quick preview video from Jag Precision. This time it is about the Modify-Tech XTC-G1 Carbine that many are waiting for. With a KeyMod Handguard, CNC'd outer barrel, billet-style receivers, and use of CNC'd steel gears and 8mm ceramic ball bearings, it is an AEG that has a lot going for it. This AEG will work best with the Modify's own XTC magazines.
