Well, one of the things you always remember with airsoft guns (as well as real guns) is that you should always treat them as always loaded and thus, check them always (and this is the number 1 rule). If you don't there are disastrous or expensive consequences like this video that has gone viral, a kid who shot and damaged his computer screen thinking his airsoft gun wasn't loaded.
