Hyperdouraku at Fuji Firepower 2014

Just amazing photography from Hyperdouraku as he covered the Japan Ground Defense Force livefire exercises during the Fuji Firepower Exercises last 24 August 2014. Going over the photos, you can see the shell just exiting from the Type 99 Self-Propelled Howitzer, or a round being fired by a Type 10 Main Battle Tank. Even if the Japanese armed forces are mainly for self-defence, they still pack one of the meanest punches in the Asia Pacific.

Hyperdouraku gives us a ringside view of the JSDF live fire exercise held last 25 August held in Shizuoka Prefecture. About 2,400 people personnel, 80 tanks, armored vehicles, about 50 various artillery, 30 aircraft, and 600 assorted vehicles participated. With all the tensions between Japan and China due to disputed islands in the Pacific, this exercise also shows Japan's readiness even if they have military organised for defensive purposes only.
