The Tokyo Marui Festival 2023 is on its second and final day, and we know you are eager to hear about the new products that were unveiled at the event. But before we get to that, let us look at some of the other attractions that you can enjoy at this annual celebration of airsoft guns and gear.

One of the highlights is the manga reading corner for "Scavengers Another Sky", a thrilling adventure about girls who wield guns and scavenge for treasures in a mysterious world. If you are a fan of the manga, or simply curious about it, you can read it for free at the corner, where you can also find a panel of the main character Toto.

Now, let us move on to the new products that were announced at the Festival, such as the Saiga-12 SBS Gas Blowback Shotgun, Hi-Capa White DOR Gas Blowback Pistol, G36C Plus AEG, and the White MicroPro Sight. We also have some sneak peeks of the products that are still under development, such as the Patriot Plus AEG, Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS Gas Blowback Pistol, the VSR-ONE bolt action sniper rifle colour variations, and the "Senzoku no Gun" from Lycoris Recoil.

SAIGA-12 SBS Gas Blowback Shotgun

The Saiga-12 SBS Gas Blowback Shotgun is based on the semi-auto Saiga-12K, but with a shorter barrel and some custom modifications. It also has a full auto function for more firepower. The release date and price are yet to be determined, so stay tuned for more updates.

The Saiga-12 SBS comes with a long new magazine that can hold 90 rounds (30 shots). The gas tank capacity is also increased and has a temperature seal. The long magazine is compatible with the Saiga-12K, and vice versa. The SBS stands for "Short Barrel Shotgun", and the barrel length is 7.5 inches (about 190mm), or 9 inches (about 228mm) with the flash hider. It is much more compact and has a distinctive look.

The handguard of the Saiga-12 SBS is also customizable. The front upper part can be removed, and the side and under rails can be attached or detached as you wish. The rails are Picatinny standard with a width of 20mm. The upper rail also has a backup sight. The receiver has a side rail, where you can mount the Side Lock Mount Rail for AK74 (sold separately). 

However, the side rail and the upper rail are not aligned, so you might want to choose one or the other for mounting optics. The grip is an A2 type with a finger groove, and the stock is an enhanced stock that can be adjusted in length in 6 steps and can also be folded to the side. The buffer tube is also lighter.

G36C Plus AEG

The G36C Plus AEG is the third "Plus" AEG from Tokyo Marui, which is compatible with the MS Li-Po battery and has a PLUS FET system. The release date and price are also unknown currently, so please be patient for more information.

The G36C Plus AEG has a slightly faster firing cycle than the standard AEG when using the MS Li-Po battery. To handle the extra power, the G36C Plus AEG has a reinforced piston made of varied materials and a sector gear with a plated coating.

The G36C Plus AEG also has new KAC type front and rear sights. The front sight can be folded and removed, and the rear sight can be folded and has a 20mm wide (Picatinny standard) rail. The color of the sights matches the resin moulding, but the receiver, stock, grip, hand guard, and other parts have been painted to improve the texture. The cheek pads are also standard equipment.

Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa White D.O.R. Gas Blowback Pistol

This is a new color variation of the Hi-Capa DOR, which can be fitted with the MicroPro Sight (sold separately). The MicroPro Sight is a lightweight dot sight with a durable resin lens. The white color matches the Hi-Capa White DOR and the AK White Storm NGRS. The release date and price of both products are yet to be announced, but they are expected to be available in 2024.

The Hi-Capa White DOR has a white base color with gray shading and red accents. The trigger, compensator, and grip panels are also painted in different colours to create a unique look.

Lycoris Recoil Senzoku No Gun Gas Blowback Pistol

This is an official collaboration product with the anime series Lycoris Recoil. It is a replica of the handgun used by the main character, Chisato Nishikigi. It features a custom compensator, front/rear sights, grip panels, and magazine bumpers. The design is based on the original setting and illustrations from the anime series.

Patriot Plus AEG

The Patriot Plus AEG is expected to launch this winter, but the company has not yet announced its price. Stay tuned for more details coming soon.

VSR-ONE Bolt Action Sniper Rifle Colour Variations

The more recent Tokyo Marui bolt action sniper rifle will have with assorted color options. The Phantom Blue and Stealth Gray versions are currently in development and are scheduled to be released around December 2023. The price is 29,800 yen (excluding tax).

The VSR-ONE has a high-performance hop-up system, a metal outer barrel, and a polymer stock. It is compatible with various accessories and parts for customization.

35 Bakelite Real Skin Spare Magazine for AK Gas Blowback Series

This is a spare magazine for the AK gas blowback series. It has a realistic Bakelite texture and color. It can hold 35 rounds of 6mm BBs. It will be released soon, but the exact date and price are not confirmed yet.

Type R Standard AEG Series & M29 .44 Magnum 6in./4in. Airsoft Revolvers

These are some of the products that are recommended for younger users. They comply with the national youth development ordinance of Japan. The Type R Standard AEG series includes the M4A1 R and the AK47 R, which are electric-powered rifles with a realistic recoil system. The M29 .44magnum 6in/4in' are airsoft revolvers that can be used by anyone over 10 years old. They have a metal frame and a swing-out cylinder. The release date and price of these products are still unknown, but they are being actively developed.
