Tokyo Marui unveil their SCAR-L EBB and Px4 Storm

OptimusPrime

Hyperdouraku bring us some good news as they cover the 50th Japan Model Hobby Show which is recently ongoing and will end on the 17th of October. They saw the unveiling of Tokyo Marui's latest products: the SCAR-L Electric Blowback and Recoil AEG, and the Beretta Px4 Storm gas blowback pistol. But these are not the only items that Tokyo Marui revealed during the show:

Tokyo Marui SCAR-L with Blowback and Recoil

Admittedly, we didn't expect this release, especially that Tokyo Marui has been left behind by other AEG and GBB Rifle manufacturers outside of Japan in the development of the SCAR series for the airsoft market. It actually took an ACM manufacturer (JLS) to get the ball rolling.

Tokyo Marui is the latest AEG manufacturer that came out with a SCAR-L, but exploiting the use its patented recoil and blowback technology that no other airsoft manufacturer has come out with a competing technology, apart from the gas blowback from WE. The TM SCAR-L uses the same new generation M4 magazine and the auto-stop mechanism for its midcap magazine. Priced at JPY59,800 (US$734).

At the front-end is a three-pronged flashhider which is a welcome change. I like it personally. Expect its official release to wholesalers and retailers in December with colours in FDE and Black.

Tokyo Marui Beretta Px4 Storm Gas Blowback Pistol

This one is expected, as we have seen photos from Hyperdouraku of their mock-ups in previous exhibits. But now it's in full working form with the back grip can be easily replaced. But the great thing with this model, apart from its great looks, is that the hop-up can be adjusted without removing the slide. Just pull the slide to open the ejection port and you'll find the hop-up dial that you can tweak with your fingers, but it would be tough if you're wearing your tactical gloves.

The backgrip is interchangeble depending on the arch you want. The front and rear sights have luminous dots to help you in sighting in lowlight conditons. The magazine can load up to 25-rounds and  is said to be compatible with the TM M92F.

There might be a problem with trademark licencing as with all those nice engravings it does not have Beretta Trademark. It is priced at JPY16,800 (US$206).

Tokyo Marui AK-47 High Cycle

The latest in the High Cycle series. This is an AK-47 which is more a hyrbid Krinkov with M4/AR stock and flat top rail for mounting optics and a short fore grip. Quiet a loaded AK and is expected to be released in November at JPY34800 (US$427).

Tokyo Marui RECCE Rifle

To be  released together with the AK-47 High Cycle, This AEG kitted with Daniel Defense rail is a one attractive piece of kit. Price: JPY64,800 (US$795) which makes it Tokyo Marui's most expensive AEG to date.

Tokyo Marui Desert Warrior Foliage Warrior and BOYS SOPMOD M4

The Foliage version is priced at JPY15,800 (US$193). The BOYS version, which is an entry level TM AEG at
75% size of the full sized TM M4 AEGs, runs on 6 AA Batteries placed in an AN/PEQ2 battery box. The markings on the receiver make it obviously an airsoft gun.

Upcoming Tokyo Marui Gas Blowback Pistols

New handguns are in the works from the company with the HK45, M&P, and XDM. So more pistols coming your way next year.
