The 62nd Shizuoka Hobby Show has begun, and airsoft enthusiasts, particularly Tokyo Marui fans, are in for a treat. The event serves as a platform to showcase upcoming products that have generated significant buzz within the airsoft community. This year, there's an offering that will excite collectors of airsoft revolvers.
Tokyo Marui has unveiled the SAA.45 Cavalry Custom Air Revolver Pro, targeted towards users 10 years of age and above. This latest addition to the SAA.45 series, following the Artillery and Civilian models, boasts a 7.5-inch barrel. While the design is still under development and subject to change, the final product promises to be a visually appealing addition to any collection.
The revolver features a 7.5-inch, or approximately 190mm, barrel adorned with gold parts finished in a special paint that replicates the look of brass. A silver-gray hammer and a wood-type grip with an embedded medallion further enhance the aesthetics. The SAA.45 Cavalry Custom Air Revolver Pro utilizes the same cartridges as the standard SAA.45 model, with each package including six for single shot loading into the cylinder with the hammer in a half-cocked position.
The Tokyo Marui booth at the Hobby Show featured a unique design for the Air Revolver Pro section, creating an uncommon ambiance that added a touch of exclusivity to the presentation.
Beyond the revolver, Tokyo Marui also announced the imminent release of the Hi-Capa White DOR and the Micro Pro Sight White accessory, scheduled for May 22nd. Additionally, the company offered glimpses of new AEGs from the R-series, including the M4A1R (release date TBA) and the AK47R (still in development). These AEGs are intended for users 14 and older.
While not physically on display, Tokyo Marui confirmed ongoing development for the P329 GBB pistol and the M29 airsoft revolver. The company promises to provide updates on these products as their respective launch dates approach.
The show floor also presented recent releases like the G36C Plus and Patriot Plus AEGs, gaining recognition for their exceptional value. These AEGs can use the MS Li-Po Battery for power and the Finest BB for ammunition.
The gas blowback segment was represented by the Senzoku no Gun Lycoris Recoil Chisato’s Handgun, alongside the popular Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS GBB pistol and the SAIGA-12 SBS compact gas blowback shotgun.
The Shizuoka Hobby Show, held at the Twin Messe Shizuoka, caters to a diverse audience with a structured schedule. The first two days are reserved for trade professionals, followed by a dedicated student day. The final two days are open to the public free of charge, ensuring that all hobby enthusiasts have the opportunity to explore the latest offerings at their own pace.
