Firearms manufacturer Watchtower Firearms has available at their official website, the special edition NSRO Type 15 rifle, a product of a collaborative effort with retired Navy SEAL Robert O'Neill.

The NSRO, standing for Navy SEAL Robert O'Neill, is a tribute to O'Neill's impressive military career and his preference for dependable and accurate weaponry.

Based on Watchtower's established Type 15 platform, the NSRO boasts several enhancements chosen by O'Neill himself. These include ambidextrous controls for ease of use, a .223 Wylde barrel known for its improved accuracy, and a corrosion-resistant bolt carrier group for long-lasting performance. The rifle is constructed from high-grade billet aluminum, ensuring a secure and precise fit while offering superior resistance to dust and debris.

For further optimized performance, O'Neill equipped the NSRO with a Geissele SSA-E two-stage trigger for a smoother pull and a compensating muzzle brake to minimize recoil. Additionally, the rifle features O'Neill's logo and a personalized Cerakote gray finish with red accents.

Robert J. O'Neill is a highly decorated veteran with extensive experience serving in multiple SEAL Teams, including the prestigious SEAL Team Six. Over his career, O'Neill participated in and led over 400 combat missions across the globe, including regions like Liberia, the Balkans, and Afghanistan.

O'Neill's expertise extends to various specializations within the Navy SEALs, including Military Free-Fall Jumpmaster, Tandem Tethered Bundle Master, and Naval Special Warfare Scout/Sniper. He played critical roles in numerous high-profile operations, including the rescue of Marcus Luttrell, the sole survivor of Operation Red Wings, and the daring raid that saved Captain Richard Phillips from Somali pirates. Most notably, O'Neill led Operation Neptune's Spear, the mission that resulted in the death of Osama bin Laden.


Following his retirement from the military, O'Neill co-founded the Special Operators Transition Foundation, an organization that helps veterans from Special Operations Forces seamlessly transition to civilian careers.
