Gungho Cowboy

If you are looking for a new airsoft team to play with, and you are luckily in California, USA area, you might want to consider joining this new group which was just formed in 2007. Task Force Rangers America is one of the teams under Task Force Rangers, since it also has a Task Force Rangers Philippines. Now talk about pan-pacific groupings! They're presently recruiting more members for their team and it seems that they have an action-filled schedule for the rest of 2008.

Let's hear what they have to say about themselves.

Task Force Rangers is one of the newest airsoft team here in the Southern California area. We strive to play with the utmost honesty and integrity that we have learned through our many trials of life. We pride ourselves with learning the ways of the game and the mechanics of the weapons and the skill of teamwork. With the guidance and tutoring of our Senior Enlisted Advisers, JASON (BARRICADE) BARNES and BANJOE (ACEMAN) VENTURA  both with law enforcement and military backgrounds. We will strive to abide by their guidelines.  Task Force Rangers is not your ordinary team, we are a group of friends that play together and live our lives with the same dedication as our playing. We focus on corps unity within ourselves and our daily activities. Task Force Rangers does not just meet on the field of battle, also on a regular basis. We earn each others respect by the actions of what true friends should be. We will never leave a member behind unless circumstances force us too. We all earn the right to bear the name Task Force Rangers

We are currently recruiting members for the team.  Our group ranges from men in the single life to being married with kids; we also have members who are still in High School. The founders of this team find it hard to believe that just the older crowds are good players. Skill, precision, and character can come at any age. We focus our skills on the field as well as the classroom. Requirements for Active Recruit’s are to come out and play with us. We don’t require dues or contracts, there is no rank system in Task Force Rangers, we lead by example and the most experienced players teach as much as they can. This team is highly dedicated to the sport and wants to see Airsoft become a well-accepted sport across the nation. If you are interested let us know.  To the active members of Task Force Rangers.

Task Force Rangers Airsoft Guidelines

Conduct on the field:
Airsoft is a hobby based on honor and integrity.  Abiding by the rules of the field is of utmost importance.
Task Force Rangers does not exist to prove ourselves to the airsoft community.  Our team does not exist to brag about team vs. team victories.  We play competitively, we judge ourselves based upon our professionalism.  Playing honorably, being tactically proficient, following the SOP, and the ability to get along with each other and the community are what we judge our team by.  Our team is about bringing together good airsoft players who share the same ideals as our founder.

Conduct off the field:
Off the field we are to act as professional as we are on the field.  There are some circumstances which might provoke us to act like assholes, but for the most part, we try to be nice.

Uniform requirments for TFR:
Any desert and OD bdu's one of each you're good to go.

Weapons requirment:
Any weapon as long as it meets HAS, IPA & TFR fps limits and all the safety equipments needed to play airsoft. Safety is our number one priority.

SAFETY is TFR's number one priority.

GAME RULES

Basic game mechanics a newbie should know before playing.

HITS

  • Anyone hit by a BB is a hit and out.
  • If you are "hit" during a game
  1. Immediately yell "HIT!" as loud as you can.
  2. Place a red bandana over your head.
  3. Walk back to the designated regen area with the bandana clearly visible at all times.
  4. Hold your AEG in a non-threatening manner, do not fire, and do not talk or interact with other players who are still active in the game.

  • Ricochet BBs do not count as hits.
  • Hits to your AEG do not count as hits.
  • When in doubt about a hit, call yourself out.
  • Don't call anyones hit. Move to a different place and engage after several attempts are made.

ENGAGEMENT

  • Observe the 20 ft. safe shooting distance.
  • No head shots.
  • No blind firing.
  • No physical aggressiveness.
  • As much as possible, no cursing.
  • Players are allowed to "tap out" other players also known as "knife kill".
  • Player may also call others to surrender when target has no more options to bail out. It is recommended to honor it than to engage back.

Parlay rule:

  • When you are too close in range to be comfortable taking a shot, you can call out "Parlay" on the player in your sights. Any clean shots with no cover under 20 feet are good candidates for Parlay. When it's called, both players have to walk back 50 ft. from location then engaged back.
