The AK-200 Is Now Officially Called The "AK-12"

Ever since discussions have started about the "21st Century Russian Assault" Rifle started last May 2010 when it was first revealed by the Russian media and called as the AK-200, finally we get to know more details about the AK-200 being designated as the "AK-12" which means that it will finally get into full production for issuance to the Russian Armed Forces next year. According to Izhmash, the home of Kalashnikov rifles, this is the 5th Generation of AK Rifles.

Longziz #1 Homemade Ambidextrous Bullpup Rifle

Just recently, a homemade bullpup rifle (not airsoft) that uses an AR-15 lower receiver is being discussed at gun forums and is generating much interest. Made by Germany-based Longziz, he has made a patent-pending design which is fully has a fully ambidextrous feature. The ejection port can be adjusted from left to right in a few seconds, without tools required, making it easer for left handed shooters just to pick up any one of these, if Longziz finds someone who can further invest on his innovation.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier Weapons Camo Vote

UBI Soft Announced last 21 November about their Weapons Camo Vote to select a camo pattern that they will put on the weapon in the Ghost Recon Future Soldier Signature Edition and they will start counting the votes today. If you haven't voted yet, better do so now before the voting closes to make sure that they include your chosen camo pattern in this edition.

UK MoD Awards Nano-UAV Contract

The United Kingdom Ministry of Defensce (MoD) have been keen of equipping the British Armed Forces with small-sized unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to boost their surveillance effectivness in Afghanistan. The MoD put out a tender for a contract that can be worth up to £20 million for these systems as reported by The Guardian in March 2011.

A Look Into Australia's Special Operations Forces
