Regular Joe sent in the news about a tragic accident about a 15-year old boy who drowned in an airsoft game in Finland attended by 15 airsoft players. We were trying to verify if this was a managed airsoft game with organisers or if it was an impromptu airsoft game among friends but no replies yet. Our condolences to the family and friends of the drowning victim.

"Here in Finland we have our first casualty in airsoft.

A 15 year boy was drowned while playing airsoft in Haukipudas with 14 other players. He was trying to swim with his buddy over a 30 meter wide and 6 meter deep pond when he suddenly fell under from few meters from shore. Other players were unable to keep him afloat in a deep and cold water. The local firemen found the boy quickly but attempts to resuscitate failed. The police is trying to find out what happened.

This is a sad example why everyone must keep their common sense while playing!
