A great initiative by SOTech (SpecOps Tech) in having veterans employed through the Green Vets LA which is part of the VIPER or Veterans Industry Program for Employment Reintegration. Soldier Systems reports about an article posted at LA Times where veterans have been given employment to create reuseable bags and at the same time boost the sewing industry in the U.S.

Not only the environmental concerns of plastic bags addressed as they are getting banned slowly in many cities worldwide, but also generate employment for veterans who as a group have high unemployment rates.
