AK lovers waiting for the PolarStar Fusion Engine Version 3 can place their orders at their retailers as Jag Precision will be having this distributed very soon with an expected arrival of two days from now... "The highly anticipated Polar Star Fusion Engine V3 is coming to Jag Precision beginning the week of December 10, 2012. The Polar Star Fusion Engine has made it’s name in airsoft by delivering a high performance, low maintenance, reliable and stable alternative to traditional gearboxes.

Unlike common gearboxes, which use an electric motor to power a piston, the PolarStar Fusion Engine uses high pressure air to shoot BBs, similar to systems found in paintball markers. The Fusion Engine uses a fire control unit (FCU) which allows users to adjust air nozzle timing, cyclic rate, semi, auto, and burst shooting modes.

You are also able to change the firing sequence by selecting whether you want the rifle to cycle the air nozzle and chamber a new round first before firing, or fire first and then chamber a new round in a true closed bolt configuration.

The new FEV3 will come complete with an AK trigger, selector plate, and internal selector components for the AK AEG series. Several nozzle and rifle conversion kits will be available to expand the number of rifles the FEV3 will be compatible with.
