The Gear Locker: Hel-Star 5 Strobe

OptimusPrime

Helmet users can check this new review by Eric... "We have been playing around with CORE Survival’s HEL-STAR 5 Strobe for a few months and it is a really nice bit of kit. The HEL-STAR 5 is helmet mounted strobe that has three functions. It is designed for airborne and ground operations day and night. During our testing of the HEL-STAR, we became huge fans of the build quality and two button setup. As for the LED’s brightness, it is amazing! They work very well in low light and no light situations and the LEDs meet FAA standards.

CM MS2000 Strobe Light In Stock

OptimusPrime

Rather than buy a dummy MS-2000 Strobe light, here's a replica of the ACR MS-2000 which is now in stock again at WGC Shop for US$26.00. This is way cheaper than the real deal which costs around US$100.00 and if it's just for airsoft use only, then this will do at the price and good for some photoops. Price does not include shipping costs yet.

Element 'S&S' Manta Strobe at Airsoft World

OptimusPrime

Now in stock at Airsoft World and you can get to choose among four versions to suit your preferences... "A nice replica of the S&S Manta strobe that has been designed to better fit the curvature of mordern combat helmets. Powered by a single CR123 cell, the unit defaults to Infra Red mode when powered up. Pressing the side buttons together changes that to visible light - in this case blue.

SCD Review: MS-2000M Strobo Comparison

OptimusPrime

SCD latest review is again, a written one this time. They compare the ACR Electronics Inc. MS-2000(M) Mil-Spec Strobe Light against the replica being sold to airsoft players… "The Element / Emerson copy is  made really well. You feel that it is plastic but of good quality. Minor differences do not disqualify the original version. Is it worth taking? If you think that it is necessary in your game or loadout, yes. The price is about half the price of a used original."

Emerson Functional MS2000 Strobe Light

OptimusPrime

No need to buy a dummy ACR MS2000 strobe/distress marker as EB Airsoft now has in stock a working replica from Emerson. Costing US$35.65 with free shipping included, this one's powered by AA Batteries. We don't know how this can stack up against the real ACR M2000 though this one has a flash rate of 50 ± 10 per minute.
