Airsofters in Canada can have a breather for now as Bill C-21 ("Bill C-21: An Act to amend certain Acts and to make certain consequential amendments [firearms]") is dead in the water when Justin Trudeau, Canada's Prime Minister, called for elections last month, which means all hearings on bills proposed in that previous parliament got stopped.

With the election over and Trudeau's Liberals able to form the government again, there is a possibility that the bill will be resurrected again. The airsoft community in Canada will need to be ready to lobby their MPs not to support the bill.
