Sony's the biggest name in electronics to get into the helmet cam market with an integrated version, whereas their previous versions were tethered bullet cams connected to a separate recorder. According to the Sony Blog, this will be a lightweight camera with the SteadyShot stabilisation feature which would be really good in capturing the action, the Exmor R CMOS image sensor, and ultra-wide angle Carl Zeiss Tessar Lens.

We were hoping for the Sony NightShot to be included in this helmet cam. But it was not mentioned which is unfortunate but we're still crossing fingers that it will be included in the official announcement as we need some night imaging capabilities for helmet cameras. The button at the back looks big enough to operate the camera with gloves. Also, it would be great if this captures at 1080p at 60fps.
