The STRIKE Elite Vest upgrades the popular signature Omega series vest chassis and adapts it to be fully modular and compatible with MOLLE systems. Built on a tough, nylon mesh base, the STRIKE vest can be unzipped and worn closed around the body, clipped together with the adjustable quick release buckles at chest and midsection levels. This allows the vest to be easily expanded for wear over body armour without the need for readjusting the vest to fit the body without armour. The front shoulder areas left and right are mounted with padded, grip panel shooting pads which are textured to direct shock vertically away from the shoulder-arm joint, allowing the rifle to be fired from either shoulder protected. MOLLE PALS crosswebbing is mounted on left and right and rear panels of the vest, with a 25mm interval between the MOLLE webbing straps on the upper chest, and close fitted with no intervals on the left and right panels from the mid-section to the waist. This maximises the number of positions on which pouches can be mounted on the critical high-use areas on the front and sides of the torso. Belt loops are provided at the bottom, however, the vest does not come with a belt. The shoulders are fitted on with the Blackhawk emergency cutaway system which allows the vest to be released from the shoulders in an emergency. Upper back is mounted with a robust drag handle. Size adjustment range over shoulders is up to 6 inches and range around the waist is up to 14 inches. This makes the vest suitable for standard heights from 5'8 to 6'1 and waists from 28 inches to 42 inches. The vest opens centrally with a 10YKK Vislon zipper which is a chunky zipper resistant to non-operation due to damp and dirt. D-rings are provided over the shoulders for attachment of comms, hydration gear or one point sling use. The rear mesh back has an internal pocket for insertion of a hydration bladder which is not included. Vest is available in Black, US Army Arpat (ACU), Coyote Tan and Olive Drab.
