Avid World War II reenactors and period airsoft players in the Philippines gather in Intramuros, which is the site of the old Spanish settlement in Manila to reenact the Battle of Manila (or Liberation of Manila), the scene of the worst urban fighting in the Pacific Theatre and leaving Manila the most devasted city after Warsaw, Poland. Over a hundred civilians were killed in fierce street battles between the Allies and Japanese.
