The parade of SBRs and AR-style pistols coming to airsoft continues. We thought it was over and that the focus will be back to carbines and longer rifles comes along a post by EMG Arms on Facebook yesterday. With matching photos, they announced that the Angstadt Arms UDP-9 Pistol will be having its airsoft version, and we hope it’s not limited to just the AR-pistol/SBR UDP-9 but the whole range, including the UDP-9 rifle.

Angstadt Arms is a small arms manufacturer that is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. C. They specialize personal defense weapons (PDW) for civilian and law enforcement use with their UDP-9 9mm AR and  SMGs are in use in over 25 countries worldwide.

The UDP-9 series are PDWs using the AR-pistol design that are chambered in 9mm or 45acp with these being served by Glock magazines. The photos posted by EMG Arms is the UDP-9 Pistol with SB Tactical SBA3. It is available in four colours: the Magpul Cerakote FDE, Black, Magpul OD Green, and Tactical Grey. Other UDP-9 variants is the Tailhook Mod 2 and a recently released custom with the Battleworn Bazooka Green Cerakote by Blowndeadline which is our favourite.

If you get the real deal UDP-9 Pistol with SB Tactical SBA3, here are the  features as standard as described at its product page:

We are not sure yet on how the EMG UDP-9 airsoft version will be powered. Will it be a gas blowback or an AEG? Either way, airsoft players can readily customise this to their liking just like those who did their own customization of the G&G ARP-9 or KWA Ronin TK.45C, or the Classic Army Nemesis X9. For SpeedQB or CQB players, it is another pistol style PDW for them to bring to a game. Airsoft gunsmiths are probably thinking of making it HPA-ready.
