Get Ready For Battlefield 2042 AI Bots To Fill In The 128-Player Game Modes

This early part of the decade, the trend is all about AI in product development. Whilst bots are not exactly new in video games, with the help of AI, these bots will get even better and will provide an even more human-like challenge. EA and DICE have announced that AI bots will be utilized in the upcoming Battlefield 2042 shooter game that will be released in October.
Sounds fun.
The Verge reports that in Battlefield 2042’s “All Out Warfare” modes, up to 128 players can be accommodate. But such a big a number may not necessarily be filled up with human players. Hence, AI bots to the rescue to fill up the empty slots and you get to have a target rich environment. The 128-player capability is for the PC version whilst console players are limited to 64. It is not the first time tha EA decided to deploy bots in a game as it did this with Star Wars Battlefront for certain game modes.

Also new is the introduction of AI Soldiers (Artificial Intelligence) to the series. As a multiplayer-only experience, it’s important for us to let you play Battlefield 2042 when and how you want. Here is what that looks like in the All-Out Warfare experience of Conquest and Breakthrough:
- Multiplayer – AI soldiers are used for server-filling capabilities, ensuring your matches remain full, no matter your location.
- Co-Op – Allows you to play together with friends, against AI soldiers.
- Solo – If you wish to perfect your skills for multiplayer, you can even play alone against AI soldiers.
EA and DICE are introducing two new multiplayer modes. One is called squad based “Hazard Zone” will be revealed later on before the game is officially released and another multiplayer is still being developed and will also be revealed in the near future.
To be released on 22 October, Battlefield 2042 will cost US$60 for PC, Xbox One and PS4. For owners of the Xbox Series X and PS5 will be setback by US$$70. EA is now taking pre-orders for the game.
