In preparation for the Enforce Tac and IWA Outdoor Classics 2025 in Nuremberg, Germany, Glock has recently unveiled its Hunter Edition series of pistols in Europe, featuring an olive-green finish and several enhancements tailored for firearm enthusiasts and professionals. This new line includes five models, spanning both 9mm and 10mm calibers, and offers configurations with or without pre-installed optics.
Within the 10mm Auto caliber, Glock has introduced the G20 Gen5 MOS Hunter Edition. This full-size pistol also sports the distinctive olive-green finish and incorporates several user-friendly features. These include an extended ambidextrous slide stop lever and a reversible magazine catch, catering to both left- and right-handed shooters. The G20 Hunter Edition also comes standard with an extended floor plate, increasing magazine capacity for extended shooting sessions. Like the 9mm models, the 10mm G20 is available with the option of the GLOCK Tactical Light II, providing a high-output illumination tool with customizable controls.

The G45 MOS Hunter Edition, chambered in 9mm Luger, offers a blend of features from different Glock models. Its crossover design, combining the G17 frame and G19 slide, makes it a versatile choice for various shooting disciplines. This model also features the olive-green finish, a threaded barrel, and an extended floor plate. The MOS configuration allows users to easily mount their preferred optical sights, further enhancing the pistol's adaptability.
The G45 A-CUT COA Hunter Edition is a significant advancement in pistol optics integration. By directly mounting the Aimpoint A-CUT red dot sight onto the slide, Glock has eliminated the need for adapter plates. This direct mounting method is intended to improve the overall durability and performance of the optic system, creating a more robust and reliable platform. This model, too, is available with the optional GLOCK Tactical Light II.

The inclusion of features like threaded barrels, extended magazine capacities, and integrated tactical lights underscores Glock's focus on functionality and adaptability. These enhancements allow users to customize their pistols to suit their individual requirements and preferences. The availability of pre-installed optics, particularly the Aimpoint COA, simplifies the process of adding red dot sights to these pistols, making them ready for use right out of the box.
The strategic timing of the Hunter Edition launch, coinciding with major international firearms trade shows, suggests that Glock is aiming to capture the attention of a wide audience. These events provide a platform for manufacturers to highlight their latest products and innovations, and Glock's presence at these shows indicates its intention to compete effectively in the global firearms market.
The olive-green finish of the Hunter Edition pistols is a departure from Glock's traditional black finish. This color variation may appeal to customers looking for a more distinctive aesthetic. While the color itself does not inherently affect the pistol's performance, it offers a visual differentiation that sets these models apart from Glock's standard offerings.
