MOA 2022 Day 2

Saturday, 2 December. During the work week, we noticed that Taipei is bit sleepy than usual, probably due to the hangover of Covid restrictions imposed by the government which in recent months were gradually eased. For the MOA 2022, the second day probably is the most packed and crowded day ever since we have been covering this event in 2017.

The Taiwan airsoft and tactical community surely came out in force to support the event, and we see an even bigger participation of the military and even more media coverage. This is due in part to the recent increase in interested in doing tactical training and preparedness by the locals given the threat of an invasion of China that was magnified by Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine.

We saw more familiar faces show up and some of them we haven’t seen in years. Whilst ICS Airsoft and WE Airsoft are not participating (G&G is not supporting the event since the beginning), other companies picked up the slack.

MOA 2022 Day 02

As I mentioned, Taiwan MOA Exhibition 2022 is the biggest airsoft trade event in the world, it can rightly claim to hold even the biggest number visitors interested in airsoft and militaria in the world. I don’t have the numbers to back me up, but by taking a looking on how crowded the exhibit floor was today, I’m pretty sure my claim is in good footing.

There are interesting products such as the multi-platform mechanical HPA engines from Milsig. They do not use an FCU and can be used for airsoft, paintball, and NERF games. Gel Balls cannot handle the pressure so these engines cannot be used for them. Stay tuned for more info on this as we’ll do some follow up to get our facts right. They even have rifled barrel for use with Nerf foam darts.

MOA 2022 Day 2 03

is also getting ready for 2023 and they presented to us new designs for the Specna Arms AEGs and will be the subject in another video. Modify are also preparing their new series of AR-style AEGs to follow up on their XTC Line. PTS will be having their release of SBRs to join in the fray.

One thing that excited airsofters is the announcement of the Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS gas blowback pistol from GHK that is full licensed. We are happy to say that they give us a rundown of the features of the GBB pistol, so you’ll know more. Once the video is ready, we’ll send you the link.

If you missed our livestream of some of the exhibitors on Day 2, you could watch them below. More photos on the Popular Airsoft Facebook Page. Stay tuned for our Day 3 quick report tomorrow.
