Smith & Wesson, has expanded its popular Bodyguard line with the introduction of the Bodyguard 2.0. This micro-compact pistol, chambered in .380 Auto, follows in the footsteps of the successful Bodyguard 380, which debuted in 2010 and garnered widespread acclaim.

With the new Bodyguard 2,  the series has evolved, incorporating features like lasers, external safeties, and distinctive slide finishes. Smith & Wesson aims to redefine expectations for micro-handguns, offering superior performance in a compact, lightweight package.

Compared to its predecessor, the Bodyguard 2.0 showcases a refined profile, increased capacity, and modern design enhancements.

The polymer-framed Bodyguard 2.0 boasts impressive dimensions, measuring just 4 inches in length and weighing a mere 9.8 ounces when unloaded. Its standard capacity is 10 rounds, expandable to 12 with an extended magazine. Smith & Wesson prioritized shootability in the Bodyguard 2.0, enhancing ergonomics and improving the trigger for exceptional performance. Despite these advancements, the pistol maintains a remarkably compact profile, ideal for deep concealment.

Models will be available with or without a thumb safety. Measuring 4 inches in height, less than an inch in width, and weighing only 9.8 ounces unloaded, the Bodyguard 2.0 offers improved comfort and control. Additionally, the striker-fired design and new flat-face trigger contribute to enhanced accuracy and consistency. For optimal sight acquisition, the pistol features a black U-notch rear sight and a bright tritium-insert front sight.

The ergonomic grip ensures a comfortable and secure hold, while stippling enhances control and mitigates recoil. The grip angle promotes a natural point of aim, aiding in rapid target acquisition. The aggressive slide design incorporates multiple serrations, providing ample traction for reliable operation in high-stress situations.
